Event Description

Following on from last term’s focus on drawing skills the next four sessions will focus on using colour and are designed to take you from using pencil and pen sketching to taking your work into colour.  This is a small, friendly group designed to help and motivate you in developing your drawing and painting skills in creative ways so that you can enjoy art in a constructive and social setting.

You will need to bring a sketchbook with watercolour or mixed media paper, a set of watercolours, a pencil and black drawing pen. (I can lend you watercolours to use here but having your own set will mean you can continue to practise at home,)

Each two hour lesson will include skills to practise and a clear theme.

The cost of the course is for the set of 4 sessions. If you miss a session I will send you details of the lesson plan so that you can catch up at home in your own time and offer feedback via email or WhatsApp.

Session 1: Monochrome skills springboard a great introduction to using watercolour effectively

Session 2: Having splashy fun – a simple way to enjoy playing with colour

Session 3: Less is more! Get maximum impact with fewer pans

Session 4: In the mood – the link between colour and feeling
